COOL MUSCLE3+
The CM3+ comes with a built-in CPU that allows for processing tasks which were previously handled by the controller side to be performed by the motor side. This results in a significant reduction in processing requirements for the controller side, including PLCs, PCs, and microcomputers. In certain scenarios, the controller can even be omitted, resulting in shorter development times.

Robot Hand controlled by I/O
Two axes of the CM3+ were used to control the direction of the fingers as well as the gripping and releasing motions of the robot hand. In addition to simple positioning, input signals can trigger pushing motions and a series of motion patterns. The use of autonomous distributed control allows for a reduction in equipment size.

5-axis pick-and-place robot
A pick-and-place robot was constructed using a CM3+ featuring 5 axes: X, Y, Z, θ, and chuck. The program is stored within the CM3+ and the touch panel is used to trigger the operation and display information, such as the number of test tubes picked up, received from the CM3+. As the CM3+ handles all the processing tasks related to the operation, development man-hours on the touch panel side can be significantly reduced. Furthermore, the absence of a PLC has enabled the creation of a controlpanel-less device.

PC Control
The CM3+ is well-suited for prototype machines or in-house jig development and can be controlled directly from a PC, enabling parameter and operation settings.

Collaborative Exhibits

COOL MUSCLE × ARMA
We will be exhibiting a robot hand that utilizes COOL MUSCLE3+. The combination of COOL MUSCLE and ARMA enables quick and cost-effective production of custom robot hands. Our one-stop production service covers everything from prototype development to mass production of unique, original robot hands.

COOL MUSCLE × Validge
We will be exhibiting the COOL MUSCLE3+ image processing system, which combines the ALL IN ONE integrated motor COOL MUSCLE with Vb Vision from Validge Corporation to provide all the necessary functions for image processing with a minimal number of components.
